Welcome to my website.
I'm Lindsey.
I have successfully run a small business in North-Central Montana for the past 14 years. I started with Hi Line Web Design in 2011. I created and managed websites for cattle producers, horse breeders, local businesses, our 4-County Marias River Livestock Association and Marias Fair. Along with websites, I also created content for social media pages and quite often - offered my photography skills along with the services I provided. This provided me a unique opportunity to get tons of experience, all while building on my website business.
As we all know, life moves fast and seasons change. My husband and I started our family in 2016, with the birth of our son. The juggling act began. With each kid, I scaled back a little more. I am happy that I have been able to continue to work from home and stay as busy as I want to be, help on the ranch, and take care of our (now three!) kids.
I started FROM MY ANGLE LLC in 2024. I’m excited to be focusing on photography. It’s one of my passions and I'm looking forward to offering the skills I've been building on for years - to the world.
building a dream, bringing it to life.
I have dabbled in a little bit of everything - Event Photography, Family Sessions, Outdoor Portraits, Preschool Photos, Elementary School Class Photos, Senior Photos, Lifestyle, Product Advertising & Promotion, Indoor Displays, 4-H Livestock Shows and Events, and all things Agriculture.
My mom used to be the picture taker. She would want to take pictures so often (which probably wasn’t THAT much), we would grumble when she’d pull out her camera. Then I went to college, and nobody took pictures. (This was pre-cell phone camera era. 😉 ) Somewhere in there I realized… I only had a handful of decent photos to remember things by.
I started taking pictures. And have never stopped.
And my mom was right. Even though sometimes people grumble about having their picture taken, everyone wants to SEE the developed pictures when they’re ready.
I read an article a few years back about a photography teacher encouraging his student by saying (something to the effect of) "No matter what kind of situations in life you find yourself in - good or bad - always shoot through it."
That line has stuck with me. I had already been doing just that, seeing it as some kind of therapy for myself. But, to have it put into words... was somehow powerful.
I've been shooting through it all, capturing so many moments. And those moments tell a story.
As you can tell from my website, my family is front and center! haha. It's that way on purpose, because that's how it is in real life. My kids tend to be my inspiration and I always feel a need to document their childhood. So in doing my best to capture and create the best possible images I can, I get a lot of practice!
When I started shifting my business direction, I spent some time working on improving my editing techniques. I feel like I'm headed in a good direction and I'm proud of a lot of my recent work.
I'm excited to be taking my photography to the next step by offering out photo sessions. I've got some fun things in mind and I'm looking forward to new experiences.
